♦TV shows have such a precarious lifespan these days, especially with the different ways that people are consuming them. So courtesy of our friends over at IMDB.com, we have put together a list of some of the genre shows and their fate. Here is the third raft of shows…
Renewed: Into The Badlands
Announced: 8 March
Alfred Gough and Miles Millar’s drama with a twist will be getting a second series.
Renewed: Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D
Announced: 3 March
ABC has given the Marvel spy show a fourth season even though it has struggled with ratings this series. They obviously decided to keep it going because of its connection to Marvel’s blockbuster movies.
Renewed and Cancelled: Bones
Announced: 25 February
Fox have renewed their long-running procedural series starring David Boreanaz for a 12th series which will run for twelve episodes but this will be the final season. The show’s producers promise that the final run will give Bones and Booth a proper send-off.
Renewed: The Expanse
Announced: 15 March
Syfy have renewed their sci fi series with Thomas Jane for a second season which will be broadcast sometime next year.
Renewed: Homeland
Announced: 9 December
Showtime’s long-running spy show will see a sixth season, the third one without Damien Lewis. Claire Danes and Mandy Patinkin will be back.
Renewed: Star Wars Rebels
Announced: 30 November
Thanks to the huge popularity of Star Wars: The Force Awakens and the fact that this is one of Disney XD’s most popular shows among adults, it is getting a third season.
