NYCC 2016: A Conversation with Adam West Updated With Photos
The 1960s Batman Speaks
On the first day of New York Comic Con 2016, Tripwire Magazine Editor-In-Chief Joel Meadows was lucky enough to participate in a round table conversation with a true legend of the Dark Knight mythos: the actor that played the titular hero in the camp 1960’s BATMAN TV series, Adam West.
During the conversation – being held as part of the promotion for the new DC Animated Adventure RETURN OF THE CAPED CRUSADERS – West talks about the differences between approaching the character after all these years, about the process of voice recording his contribution to this ‘new/old’ version of the Batman character, and about what he feels makes his campier iteration endure through the decades.
