In a Flash: Lego Batman writer in talks to direct Flash movie

According to , Seth Grahame-Smith is in talks to direct the movie adaptation of The Flash for Warner Bros.

Charles Roven is producing the film, based on the studio’s DC Entertainment property about the crime-fighting superhero and police scientist who can move at superhuman speeds. Zach Snyder and wife Deborah Snyder are executive producing.

The character, created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Harry Lampert, first appeared in Flash Comics #1 in 1940. The TV series The Flash, developed by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Geoff Johns, began airing on the CW last October.

The Flash would mark Grahame-Smith’s feature directorial debut. He would helm from his own script. Grahame-Smith is the author of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter  and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, and the screenwriter of Warner Bros.’s upcoming Lego Batman.

The Flash starring Ezra Miller, will hit theaters on 3 March, 2018. The character will be introduced in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
