Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige revealed that Black Panther director Ryan Coogler is also working on a draft of the film’s script. Coogler wrote both of his previous films, Fruitvale Station and Creed.
“We have a number of writers on it including Ryan Coogler, who is also directing, he’s working on the draft right now,” Feige told Collider. “Between now and the end of the summer there will be more casting announcements. We start filming at the very beginning of next year.”
Black Panther is scheduled for release on 6 July 2018, however the character will make his film debut in Captain America: Civil War.
IMAX has released a new poster for Civil War, while Marvel has announced that it will stream live from the red carpet premiere of the film on 12 April. Captain America: Civil War hits US cinemas 6 May 2016 and a week early on 29 April 2016.
