Crowdfund Your Comic Is On Pre-Launch Now On Kickstarter
Find Out The Secrets Of How To Run Your Own Comics Kickstarter Campaign
Crowdfund Your Comic! is a new A5 book offering the expertise of Tripwire’s editor-in-chief Joel Meadows on how to start and run your comics crowdfunding campaign. It’s on pre-launch now on Kickstarter for people to sign up for now…
As editor-in-chief of Tripwire, the UK’s longest running comics and genre magazine and website, I have always been looking for different ways to support how we publish our print magazine. When we decided to bring it back to print in 2020 after a number of years away, it seemed that using crowdfunding was the best model to use. Fast forward four years later and we have now run nine successful crowdfunding campaigns with each one exceeding its target by a significant amount, raising $50,000. So armed with this knowledge, I felt it was time for me to share my insights with our audience as to how you can conceive and run a crowdfunding campaign yourself. i also wanted to put something back into the comics industry.
Crowdfunding isn’t an easy option necessarily but it is a very democratised way for creators at any level in their career to bring their creative dreams to fruition. This book, 120 pages in A5 paperback and a limited edition hardcover too, will offer a clear and accessible guide to every aspect of the process from that initial spark to composing a campaign, to promoting and running that campaign to hitting your target and surpassing your expectations. It will crystalise every essential step and factor that you need to consider to make your campaign a success.
I have learnt from running a lot of crowdfunding campaigns including two years earlier which were not successful.
This book will teach you, a creative person, how to think more like a business person to achieve your goals when running the campaign. As a professional journalist and writer for decades, I am fully aware of just how important what I write is accessible and puts a coherent message across.
The book also includes a brand new interview with Superfan’s David Hyde, a man who has been involved with some of the most successful comic kickstarter campaigns ever like Oni’s Cult Of The Lamb which raised $684,389 and Matt Wagner and Kelley Jones’ Dracula Volume 1: The Impaler which brought in $262,498.Crowdfund your comic! is the only book you’ll need to help turn your crowdfunding dreams into a reality.
We can’t do this without you.
Thanks for listening and thanks for your support as ever
