Netflix: October Premieres

Coming from Netflix…

Below Peter Mann  lists Netflix’s coming premieres for October.  High points for genre fans:

• Beasts of No Nation stars Idris Elba (soon to be seen in Star Trek Beyond) in a drama based on the experiences of Agu, a child soldier fighting in the civil war of an African country
• The New Mr. Peabody and Sherman Show based on the ’60s four-minute shorts from animation legend Jay Ward that first aired in his “Rocky & Bullwinkle Show.” Bespectacled canine Mr. Peabody and Sherman travel through time and meet famous historical personages including Mozart, Napoleon and Edgar Allan Poe. This series continues DreamWorks Animation’s film adaptation which lost money at the box-office – hopefully it will work successfully on TV.
• Hemlock Grove – looks as if this is the final season. Many people (including me) loved season one, but were not so enthusiastic about season two. Let’s hope the Eli Roth helmed shocker recovers its momentum
