Delroy Lindo Cast as Dominic Fortune in ‘S.H.I.E.L.D’ Spinoff

Delroy Lindo Joins ‘Marvel’s Most Wanted’

♦ ABC’s in-the-works Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff has tapped Delroy Lindo (Blood & Oil, The Chicago Code) to join the cast of Marvel’s Most Wanted as comic-book hero Dominic Fortune.

Fortune  first appeared in 1975’s B&W Marvel Preview #2, in a story written and drawn by comics legend Howard Chaykin. The character was based on The Scorpion, who Chaykin for created for the failed Atlas/Seaboard Comics company, and was originally a 1930’s style adventure-seeker looking for fortune, and if memory serves, ladies. Fortune has past history with Mockingbird, having been a supporting character in 2010’s Hawkeye & Mockingbird, as well as the follow-up mini-series Widowmaker, continuing a storyline from Hawkeye & Mockingbird.

Lindo is the first non-S.H.I.E.L.D castmember to board the offshoot, joining Adrianne Palicki‘s Bobbi “Mockingbird” Morse and Nick Blood’s Lance Hunter. Marvel’s Most Wanted was created and written by S.H.I.E.L.D. EPs Jeffrey Bell and Paul Zbyszewski.
