Ian Carney And Woodrow Phoenix Announce New Book The Lovely Land Of Love Coming From Sugar Buzz Books

Creating A New Buzz

Sugar Buzz Books has announced the release of a 56-page colour hardback entitled THE LOVELY LAND OF LOVE. Created by writer Ian Carney (TV scriptwriter for Angry Birds, Shaun the Sheep, Go Jetters, Bob The Builder) and artist Woodrow Phoenix (author of the books Crash Course, Plastic Culture, Felt Mistress: Creature Couture, and Danny Digits), it is the first of a series of colour books featuring new material and vintage Sugar Buzz strips…

THE LOVELY LAND OF LOVE tells the story of serial-grinners HAPPLEJACK and LALUPIN, as they muster all their lovely love against the force of dissatisfaction and resentment known as ADULT MALE! The story originally appeared in issue 8 of the Sugar Buzz comic (published by Slave Labour Graphics), but has now been remixed and remastered, and is presented here in colour for the first time.

Captured in a handsome, square-bound edition, it retails at £9.99/$13.99 and can be ordered from the Sugar Buzz Big Cartel store here:

Additionally, a lovely 3-colour risograph, 297 x 420mm print by Woodrow Phoenix is also available, featuring every character from the Sugar Buzz Universe in one big-cocktail party-type situation. ‘CAST PARTY is a limited edition of 50 copies, signed and numbered by Woodrow. Printed on sturdy Munken 240 gsm Lynx paper, it can be ordered directly from the Sugar Buzz store.
