First Three Sponsors Confirmed For Tripwire Awards 2019

Dark Horse, Soaring Penguin And Scott’s Collectibles Come On Board

This year is the first ever Tripwire Awards, celebrating the best in UK and US comics. With thirteen categories, the awards have just secured the support of three major companies: Dark Horse Comics, Soaring Penguin and Scott’s Collectables.

“Tripwire has existed for 27 years and we wanted to give something back to the comics community,” Tripwire’s editor-in-chief Joel Meadows. “We are very grateful for the support we have received from these three pivotal companies so far.”

The nominations for the 2019 Tripwire awards were selected by a committee of four members:

• Joel Meadows, EIC Tripwire Magazine
• Leonard Sultana, The Convention Collective
• Tim Cundle, The Mass Movement, and
• Olly MacNamee, The Comicon

Sponsorship is still available for a number of the other categories that haven’t been taken so far. Please contact us if companies are interested.

The results of the awards will be announced on Saturday 4 May at the Portsmouth Comic Con. Tickets are available for the show from here
