On his email newsletter, Ed Brubaker just offered a preview of the first Criminal graphic novel in five years, The Knives with art as ever by Sean Phillips and here it is…

So that’s the first part of chapter one, which really plays like a prologue in the book, and is something like 50 or so pages long. Each chapter stars a different character, though they begin to collide about halfway through the book. Like I said, I think it’s the best thing that Sean and I have ever done, and it’s out next month in comic shops and book stores everywhere. So please tell your retailer if you want a copy on release day. I promise you it’s a beautiful package.
