Dan Brereton Is Funding A Campaign For His New Art Book

We here at Tripwire have always been keen to support comics and art crowdfunding campaigns and Dan Brereton is currently running a new campaign to get his artbook Autumnkind funded. He has hit his target already but we wanted to alert our visitors to it anyway…

“Since October I’ve been working in a perpetual state of Halloween. In that time I have produced over 200 drawings and dozens of paintings, most of them attached to this clinging ghost of Autumn. Its been a very fulfilling period and I’m excited to collect the best of it in a new volume to share with you!”

This new endeavor is

AUTUMNKIND

A 168-page hardcover art book, presented in full, harvest-hued color, featuring an extensive collection of haunting new artwork.

Dan Brereton’s latest monograph is a reaping of new paintings and ink sketches, with a decidedly autumnal cast of ghosts, vampires, scarecrows, witches, devils, creeping creatures, pulpy protagonists and bewitching beauties. Perfect for those times when you’re feeling the tug of Halloweentide, no matter what time of year. Dan’s much-loved creations, the Nocturnals, are also here—in page after page of new work.

You may choose the unsigned book or the signed book plate option.

With this campaign we are also offering a companion item, the

All editions of the Portfolio are signed and numbered, but we are also offering a hand-drawn REMARQUE version as well.

A NOTE ON AVAILABILITY and Why You Should Back Now

AUTUMNKIND will not be sold in shops, and there will not be an after-store for this campaign. Typically our print runs are 1000 copies. For this reason we highly recommend securing your reward before this campaign ends on June 10th.

The book’s contents remains fluid until we go to press, and newly-completed art will definitely be added up to the last minute!

PORTFOLIO REMARQUE EDITION

Special 11X14″ cover sheet left art-free so Dan can draw above the title. (Character/Subject is Artist’s Choice)

6×8″, detached so you can frame the art or leave it inside your book. (Character/ Subject is Artist’s choice).

WATERCOLOR REWARD

8×10″ and open to requests/suggestions by Backers for Watercolor and Reaper Tiers based on characters and themes in Dan’s universe. Copyrighted characters are not generally encouraged, but requests will be noted and considered. (Artist cannot 100% guarantee character choice, but will make every effort to honour requests.)

Risks and challenges

We’re happy to report this is our ninth Kickstarter with Dan at the helm and each successive project has helped us learn and grow. We have great working relationships with our printers and fulfillment partner. We’re available to answer questions, we post regular updates and as backers of many projects ourselves, understand both sides of the Kickstarter equation.
