Tripwire’s Latest Kickstarter Is Live Now: Our First Standalone Comic Is Available To Support And So Close To Being Funded Now

A Sci-Fi Tale With A Twist In Its Tail

Tripwire’s latest Kickstarter, Death Be Praised is just live now and we’re at 98 per cent funded with 21 days left and here’s a few details about the new campaign…

Welcome to the latest and potentially most exciting Tripwire Kickstarter campaign to date.  This time around we are branching out of our comfort zone into bold and uncharted waters, but we are FULLY prepared.

We present Death Be Praised, our very first standalone graphic novel that will be stuffed full of bonus art, extra writing, exclusive interviews, a thrilling cover gallery and much more.

All the art and lettering have been completed. You are not investing in a risky project but rather a completed labour of love that’s been over a decade in the making and we are thrilled to share it with the world.

This is a complete book. There will never be a sequel. There are no cliffhangers. THIS IS A COMPLETE BOOK. There will be no delay in waiting for the project to be finished in order to reach your eager hands. All the work has been done.

Death Be Praised tells the story of astronaut James Tasker and what happens when he encounters the incredibly strange and mysterious world of Kourell. To say more would involve SPOILERS.

Told in the tradition of classic black and white television series such as The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits, DEATH BE PRAISED is a unique opportunity to think, be scared and consider what the words “hope” and “mercy” mean.

This brand new and complete story is written by Tripwire’s frequently busy journalist and Stripwire‘s comic strip contributing writer Paul Neal. He has written in the past for Shift, Comics Journal, Falcon, Judge Dredd The Megazine and 2000AD but he is dying (please excuse the pun) for people to read his passion project. Please make his dreams come true.

On art duties, award winning artist Rob Moran delivers page after page of some of the most sublimely beautiful and creative black and white artwork your lucky eyes will ever witness. You will hopefully revisit his astonishing pages again and again.

Plus Tripwire is offering a choice of four eye-catching covers from a group of accomplished, experienced and respected professional British comic artists. You can choose between:

-Our standard cover by the remarkable interior artist Rob Moran.
-A variant portrait style cover courtesy of Shift artist and gentleman Lyndon Webb.
-A striking rock and roll variant from rising superstar Andrew Sawyers.
-And finally a beautiful cover from 2000AD veteran and Marvel and DC comics artist Frazer Irving.

This will be a unique and beautiful book that celebrates black and white artwork, with full colour features and extras. This is a science fiction story told through the lens of the best traditions of independent British comics.

Please take a chance on this one-off book. Join us for the ride, because when you sit back and enjoy the book , we know you will not regret it.
