Art & Beauty R.Crumb at The David Zwirner Gallery in London

♦Last night, The David Zwirner Gallery, located in London’s Mayfair, held a launch for R. Crumb Art & Beauty, an exhibition which displays drawings from Robert Crumb’s Art & Beauty Magazines…
Tripwire was lucky enough to attend it and there were a number of luminaries from the world of comics like Eddie Campbell, Knockabout publisher Tony Bennett and Crumb himself, who was there to play with Eden & John’s East River String Band. It was amazing to see Crumb’s work in such rarefied surroundings and David Zwirner has published a book to commemorate the exhibition. R. Crumb Art & Beauty runs from now until 2 June 2016 and is well worth checking out for fans of Crumb.
