NYCC: DC Announces Prequel to Dark Knight Returns

Before Dark Knight III: The Master Race is even out, DC has announced a prequel to the series that started it all back in 1986. DC has announced a prequel to the seminal Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller, Brian Azzarello and John Romita Jr. Revealed at the “DC Comics – Heroes To The Core” panel at New York Comic Con, this untitled series will debut in February. This would be an expansion of the Dark Knight related work Miller and Azzarello are already doing with Dark Knight III: The Master Race, and a reunion of sorts for Miller and Romita Jr. as they worked together on Daredevil: The Man Without Fear. It also explains why Romita Jr has left the Superman title.
