Van Helsing TV Show Adds To Cast
A TV Series With More Bite
♦Thanks to our friends over at moviepilot.com, we have news of a new addition to the Van Helsing TV show, actress Vanessa Overton in the title role
Joining Jonathan Scarfe, Christopher Heyerdahl, Paul Johansson, David Cubitt and Tim Guinee in the cast of Van Helsing is newest addition Kelly Overton, who will star in the title role of the 13-episode vampire drama series, produced by Nomadic Pictures. Vanessa Overton will play Vanessa Helsing, descendent of the Van Helsing line of warriors, who must help mankind fight a world now dominated by vampires. Jonathan Scarfe will play Axel, a devoted Marine who has experienced countless vampire attacks. Christopher Heyerdahl (Hell on Wheels) is Sam, who survived the vampire Rising, and counts on his strength and observational skills to stay alive. Cubitt will portrays the character John, another survivor of the vampire Rising. He operates on fear, hatred, anger and is a complete skeptic. Johansson is Dimitri, a man who became a vampire before the rising. He is the devious leader of the vampires. Tim Guinee is Ted, a vampire foot soldier who battles Vanessa and conceals a tragic secret.
Showrunner/writer Neil LaBute had this to say:
“We’ve been extremely blessed to get such a wonderfully talented and diverse cast for Van Helsing.”
Chad Oakes, co-chairman of Nomadic Pictures, had this to add: “Kelly will be an amazing Vanessa and our lead cast is nothing short of outstanding.”
Van Helsing doesn’t have a release date although it will be put out on Syfy but we are sure it will be a series with some bite when it does get a slot.
