According to our friends at TVguide, this season will be the last for NCIS’ Michael Weatherly. Having played Special Agent Tony DiNozzo for 13 seasons, Weatherly is one of the drama’s four original players, and has appeared in every episode since NCIS began in 2003.“He is a valued part of the CBS family, and the immense charm and talent he brings to the screen as ‘Very’ Special Agent Tony DiNozzo has helped make NCIS what it is today – the #1 drama in the world,” CBS said in a statement Tuesday. ” We thank Michael for all of his contributions to this successful franchise and look forward to continuing to develop projects with him as part of our ongoing development deal.

No word on how exactly he’ll be written off, but Weatherly sent out a few heartfelt messages on Twitter after the news broke. “DiNozzo is a wonderful, quixotic character and I couldn’t have had more fun playing him over the past 13 seasons,” he wrote in a series of messages.
