Game Of Thrones Season Six First Footage Released 

Westeros Bound Again

There’s good news for Game of Thrones fans. After the teaser trailer which hit the end of last week, while there’s still no word on whether George R.R. Martin will actually finish Winds of Winter before the show returns, HBO has been kind enough to give everyone the first glimpse of season six footage (the teaser trailer was actually all content taken from existing episodes). Tripwire was tipped off by our friends at Uproxx who found it in a video promoting the shows and movies that subscribers can look forward to from HBO in 2016, and it includes three quick spoiler-free shots.  There is still no sign of Jon Snow. Let’s take a look at what they’ve released…

There’s Daenerys Targaryen wishing she’d taken a hairdresser with her so she’d have somebody to actually  comb her hair.

And Ramsay Bolton accompanied by some battle-ready bannermen… is he about to encounter the body of the slain Stannis Baratheon?

Last but not least, here’s Cersei Lannister looking surprisingly calm for someone about to destroy the Faith for their awful treatment of her at the end of season five. She’s giving her son Tommen a nice hug; I hope she gets those in while she can because the odds of him surviving all the way through season six are very slim to say the least, considering the survival rate of significant characters and particularly sympathetic ones in GoT. Game of Thrones is set to return sometime near the end of April. Until then, we’ll keep a Knight’s Watch on new footage as it arrives.
