Ron Randall Launches His Latest Trekker Crowdfunding Campaign

Ron Randall is a veteran comic artist with a career that stretches back to the 1980s on books like Swamp Thing and Warlord. But in recent years he has returned to his creator-owned series Trekker, funding these through Kickstarter. He has just launched a brand new Trekker campaign and here’s a few details, Ernie Estrella reports…

Introductions:

Hi, I’m Ron Randall.

Over the years, I’ve produced decades of work for DC, Dark Horse, Marvel, and others. Everything from Supergirl, Star Wars, and Space Ghost to Swamp Thing, Venom, and Predator. But creating TREKKER is my chance to make my own dream project come true. And I’ve been pouring everything I love most about the craft of comics, compelling storytelling, and classic sci-fi action, romance, and adventure into every page of Trekker that I’ve made since I first launched the series years ago with my then-publishing partner Dark Horse Comics.

These days I’ve taken the publishing reins into my own hands, thanks to the enthusiastic support of backers here on Kickstarter over eight (and counting, I hope!) very successful campaigns.

New to Trekker? Come on in!

”SPICE” is a great place to join Mercy’s trek. Every volume of TREKKER introduces the characters and the world, established a new challenge for Mercy, and takes us on a complete, self-contained adventure from beginning to end. If you’ve never read Trekker before, you’ll have no trouble jumping in with SPICE. That’s a guarantee.

As with all of my previous campaigns, the story and art for this book are already done! Except for a handful of special pages and extras that we’ll hopefully be adding through stretch goals, all we need are the funds to get this book off to the printer! Which means that with a successful campaign, you will be holding TREKKER: SPICE in your hands very quickly, as has happened with every Trekker book so far.

The Specs

TREKKER: SPICE will match our previous trade paperbacks as a 120-128-page book (exact page count depends on the success of those stretch goals I mentioned earlier. See below for more details on that!), printed square bound with trim dimensions of 6.625”x10.25”.
