Netflix Orders A Full Season For Sandman TV Show

The news this week that Netflix has pushed the button on a Sandman TV show based on the comic created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg and here’s a few further details from the service themselves…

A rich blend of modern myth and dark fantasy in which contemporary fiction, historical drama and legend are seamlessly interwoven, The Sandman follows the people and places affected by Morpheus, the Dream King, as he mends the cosmic–and human–mistakes he’s made during his vast existence.

Based on The Sandman comic book series created for DC by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg. The writer/ showrunner/ executive producer is Allan Heinberg (Wonder Woman, Grey’s Anatomy), writers/ executive producer: Neil Gaiman (Good Omens, Coraline) and David S. Goyer (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Krypton, Foundation). Netflix have confirmed that there will be 11 episodes. Gaiman, Heinberg and Goyer will co-write the first episode.
