Help Support Cary Nord’s Fol’Klor Kickstarter Campaign
Embracing Her Destiny
We are always happy to support comics Kickstarter and crowdfunding campaigns and Canadian comic creator Cary Nord has a brand new impressive Kickstarter campaign for his Fol’Klor series which launched today…
”When a frightened young girl is possessed by powers beyond her understanding, she must embrace a destiny that will save all of mankind or doom them to eternal darkness.”
In a comics career that has spanned the celebrated and critically acclaimed run on Conan (Darkhorse) with writer Kurt Busiek, to top titles like DC’s Wonder Woman and Marvel’s X-Men, my burning desire has always been to make creator-owned work.
That day has finally come.
Fol’Klor is the culmination of a lifetime of dedication to the craft of art and storytelling distilled into one undiluted, uncompromising vision for your enjoyment.
The journey has not been easy, but what journey ever is? This is the only path forward for me, and I’d love to take you with me to these magical, mystical, far away lands.
Fol’Klor takes place in a land gripped by darkness —a land at mercy to the whims of the malevolent god of night, Jealous King Noch.
Solntse, a young orphan girl, discovers that she’s host to a great power that lies dormant just below her skin… a power that can no longer be contained. A power that has not gone unnoticed.
Afraid of what she might become —afraid of what might become of her adoptive family — she exiles herself to the vast wilderness of the Bereza forest, where she comes face to face with destiny, setting off a chain of events that can not be undone.
Meanwhile, at the bottom of the world, a dark agent of night stirs and rises from the inky depths of Lake Ozero with only one agenda —to extinguish the light.
Solntse is at once the last hope for mankind and the unwitting herald of it’s impending doom. Can she prevail? You can find out by supporting and pledging to this kickstarter!
…ok, I guess you could just ask your friends too, but where’s the fun in that.
