Thor’s Ragnarok Gets New Writer
God of Thunder Has New Screenwriter For Third Adventure
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel Studios have retained Stephany Folsom as the new screenwriter for 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok. The Princess of North Sudan screenwriter is said to be working on a new draft of the original script which was penned by writing duo Christopher Yost and Craig Kyle. Taika Waititi was reported earlier this year to be directing the third Thor film.
With filming set to begin in June 2016, Thor: Ragnarok will reportedly deal with the fall-out from the previous film as well as elements that were implied in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo has said he will be playing a major role in the movie, even if both he and Thor actor Chris Hemsworth seem to be apparently sitting out Captain America: Civil War.
Thor: Ragnarok hits cinemas 28 July 2017. Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston and Jaime Alexander will reprise their roles as Thor, Loki and Sif, respectively while Mark Ruffalo will appear as Bruce Banner / Hulk.
