CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR – London Press Conference

After jaw-dropping premiere events in China and France, the UK has become the next stop on the worldwide release tour of Marvel Studios‘ CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR. While those two events saw the cast split into their respective teams (#TeamCap for Singapore, #TeamIronMan for Paris), the London premiere sees a conglomeration of the two, as represented at a swanky press conference, held at the Corinthia Hotel in the Capital.

The film’s directors, Anthony and Joe Russo – along with Marvel Studios head honcho, Kevin Feige – brought with them stars Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark/Iron Man), Chris Evans (Steve Rogers/Captain America), Jeremy Renner (Barton/Hawkeye) Daniel Bruel (Helmut Zemo), Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson/Falcon), Paul Rudd (Scott Lang/Ant-Man), Paul Bettany (The Vision), Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier), Elizabeth Olson (Wanda Maximoff/The Scarlet Witch) and Emily VanCamp (Sharon Carter/Agent 13).

Over the course of 35 minutes on a video shared by the Russo Brothers’ social media, the cast and crew took questions from the international press and shared some entertaining banter from a group that are still not showing signs of flagging from this punishing release schedule, just yet…

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR is a Marvel Studios Production, distributed by parent company Walt Disney Pictures, produced by Kevin Fiege and directed by The Russo Brothers, Anthony and Joe. After the events of AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, another international incident involving Captain America and the Avengers results in collateral damage, prompting politicians to form a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to call in the Avengers, which results in the fracturing of the team while they attempt to protect the world from a new enemy. The film stars (deep breath) Chris Evans, Robert Downey, Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Emily VanCamp, Don Cheadle, Jeremy Renner, Chadwick Boseman, MARTIN FREEMAN, PAUL BETTANY, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Frank Grillo, Daniel Brühl and William Hurt. The film is scheduled for release in the UK on 29th April, 2016 and a North America release a week later, 6th May, 2016.
