Christopher Nolan’s Batman Trilogy Gets 4K Ultra HD In Time For Christmas

While promoting his historical war film Dunkirk, Nolan took advantage of the promotional tour to confirm that he’ll be personally working on the 4K Ultra HD releases of his biggest hits including The Dark Knight Trilogy which will be released on December 19th just in time for the holidays. The director spoke of his admiration for the format insisting, “The deeper colour palette comes closer to matching the analogue colors of film and we’ve restored the original theatrical mixes for the release. This is the best experience you can have in your own home.”
“Batman Begins,” “The Dark Knight,” and “The Dark Knight Rises” will be available as “The Dark Knight Trilogy” on 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack for $70.99, and features the three films on 4K Ultra HD with the feature films in 4K with HDR, Blu-ray discs of the three films in hi-definition, bonus Blu-ray Discs with behind-the-scenes content and special features, and a Digital copy of the films.
We are hoping that these films do get a UK release at some point too.
