Looking For The Next Generation Of Comic Artists

As the Summit Universe inches its way to launch, the partners behind the new indie superhero world are opening its doors to artists now interested in taking part too. Thursday, the company unveiled the first-ever Summit Comics Talent Search, a two-part event hoping to seek out some of indie comics’ best stars with submissions closing this Wednesday Christmas Eve …

“We have heard people asking how can they get involved in SUMMIT,” CEO Travis Gibb offered in the press release. “We have listened and this is the first of our initiative to add new voices in the SUMMIT universe.”

The second part of the talent search will then ask for submissions from artists using the winning scripts from the first part. To enter and read the full rules and regulations, visit the Summit website here.

Part Two – Artists

With the spirit of small press indie comics at the forefront of everything we do, the partners behind Summit Comics are hosting a talent search to welcome the group of creators into the Summit umbrella. The Summit Comics Talent Search is a two-part event, the first featuring writers and the second part featuring artists.

This part has two options: a lineart portion and a colorist portion. Artists may submit for either one or both portions. Should you choose to submit for both portions, you must follow the rules of each portion, as they’re be treated as two distinct contests.

Lineart

The rules for the lineart portion are simple:

  1. Review the script here, courtesy of one of the winners of the writing portion of the 2025 Summit Talent Search.
  2. Choose one page from the above script to draw (pencils and inks) to use as your submissions.
  3. Upload submission page to Drive or Dropbox and copy a public link to paste in the form below.
  4. Submissions are open now through December 24th. Winners will be notified through e-mail by December 31st. Winners will draw one of the stories in Summit: Pinnacle #1, and earn a Summit talent contract. You must be 18 to submit.
