Logan (also known as Wolverine 3 and Wolverine III) is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Wolverine. It is intended to be the tenth installment in the X-Men film series. It is based on the comic book series Old Man Logan by Mark Millar. Directed by James Mangold, the film stars Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant and Dafne Keen. The film marks the final portrayal by Jackman of the titular character after appearing in every main entry in the X-Men series to date. It is scheduled to be released on 3 March 2017, in IMAX and premium large formats.

Set in 2024, Logan and Professor Charles Xavier must cope with the loss of the X-Men at the hands of a corporation led by Nathaniel Essex. With Logan’s healing abilities slowly fading and Xavier’s Alzheimer’s hampering his memory, Logan must defeat Essex with the help of a young girl named Laura Kinney, a female clone of Wolverine.
