Help Support The Killer: In The Dead Of Night Kickstarter
A Killer Tale
Tripwire has always been keen to support comic kickstarters and The Killer: In The Dead Of Night by Jonathan Thompson looks like a rather cool project. It hasn’t quite hit its target too…
SPACE STATION ZED Presents

THE SET-UP
THE KILLER: IN THE DEAD OF NIGHT is a 60 page hardcover OGN limited to 250 copies.
Featuring stellar artwork by Attila Schwanz (SYMPOSIUM CLUB) and written by Jonathan Thompson (BURN RESIDUE, A GAME OF DOUBLES).
THE KILLER is an homage to the insanity of Japanese Noir films like BRANDED TO KILL, TOKYO DRIFTER, PALE FLOWER and the daring art of Marcel Duchamp, Dave McKean, Liam Sharp, and Bill Sienkiewicz. For fans of ARKHAM ASYLUM, BLUE IN GREEN, FROM HELL, and DEPARTMENT OF TRUTH.
This haunting HARDCOVER will be at your door on HALLOWEEN…the perfect time to send chills up your spine.
THE STORY
It begins with a contract. A mob boss, fat on his own appetite, puts out a hit on the man whose security firm will put his own business at risk.
A deranged killer steps up to the plate…ready to fill his.
Then there is the Target, an old man locked in his modern castle on the beach. A man who wants cameras everywhere so there is always an eye on our loved ones. A man who decades earlier dug himself so deeply into his own work that he neglected his wife to the point that she swam out into the ocean and let herself be washed away by the sea.
On that night, 30 years ago, far off in the space, a star went supernova and exploded. This is the night that the light from that star will finally fade away. On the roof of his home the old man has a telescope so he can watch the star disappear from the night sky, the final piece of a memory from when his wife walked beside him, and then he plans on committing Harakiri.
But, hiding his footprints against the tide, a KILLER creeps closer.

STRETCH GOAL
If we pass our goal the early stretch goal will be a digital process book that will lay out everything that Jonathan and Attila did to put this mind twisting book together. Notes on influences ranging from Yakuza crime films to Dadaism.
ADD-ONS
In the add-ons you will find a 12 page DIARY OF A MAD MAN a creepy little digital book that offers a view inside of our killer’s head for $5.

You’ll also find a DIGITAL version of BURN RESIDUE a 112 page journey through hell by Jonathan Thompson and artist Rossano Piccioni.
BURN RESIDUE tells the story of Willy Boyd, a gas station attendant with 3rd degree burns all over his body. As he works the pump and lives a quiet existence a car pulls up driven by one of the men who lit him on fire years earlier.
There are 10 final HARDCOVER versions of BURN RESIDUE left featuring a stunning cover by Jacob Phillips (THAT TEXAS BLOOD).
