Here’s some more info on it from the filmmakers themselves:
TROLL BRIDGE is a tribute to goat populated fairy-tales, sword & sorcery, epic fantasy, and above all Terry Pratchett. Using state of the art technology and a dedicated, globe-spanning team, Troll Bridge has taken an entirely cinematic approach to telling a Discworld tale. It’s a small, grounded, personal story… but on an ice giant scale.
It’s also a fan film.

It’s a fan film whose author took an active interest in it while he was with us and which now has an Executive Producer in Rob Wilkins, Terry’s right hand man and part owner of Narrativia. It’s a fan film with the support of the Pratchett Estate.
The original story was written in honour of JRR Tolkien and we have attempted to keep that spirit in approaching the world building aspects of production – we want every character, costume and location to have history and feel grounded – whilst maintaining Terry’s comedic rhythms and insight into the human condition. As a result, it’s also possibly the most complicated fan film – indeed even short film – ever attempted.
