AMC Reveals New Art For The Walking Dead Season Seven
The Final Journey Starts Soon
AMC’s The Walking Dead comes back for its seventh and final season on 11 August and here’s some latest art tying in with the new season…
Our art-focused 11-week celebration of The Walking Dead, which returns for its 11th season on August 22 at 9/8c, continues with a look at Season 7 and its introduction of significant new characters.

The Season 7 artwork, by Rafael de Latorre (Black Widow, Peter Parker: Shutterbug) features Negan, who made an indelible mark on the survivors, when during his very introduction, he killed two fan favourites with his trademark barbwire-wrapped bat Lucille. But Season 7 also saw the introduction of The Kingdom, a community led by King Ezekiel. And when it comes to iconic introductions, it doesn’t get much better than greeting newcomers while sitting alongside a roaring Bengal tiger named Shiva.
“Who wouldn’t wanna draw a tiger in the middle of a zombie apocalypse?” De Latorre jokes, before acknowledging that he was drawn to these characters because of the powerful impact they both made on the story. “Negan and Ezekiel are characters that have the kind of visuals and attitude that just makes you wanna draw them. I did my best to maintain the strong presence that these characters have in these moments.”
