Action Comics #1000 Sees The Return Of Superman’s Red Trunks

After an almost seven-year absence, Superman’s signature red trunks will make their triumphant return on 18 April in DC Comics’ Action Comics #1000.

It was Jim Lee, DC Entertainment’s publisher, who revamped Superman’s costume for the 2011 New 52 relaunch that dropped the signature trunks and added a metallic sheen to the costume.

People have missed them and we are sure that fans will be happy to see them return.

Going on sale 18 April, Action Comics #1000 marks the DC Comics debut of writer Brian Michael Bendis. He’s joined in the special issue by a creative lineup that include Superman director Richard Donner, Geoff Johns, Paul Dini, Jim Lee, Peter J. Tomasi, Patrick Gleason, José Luis García-López, Tom King, Clay Mann, Jordie Bellaire, Brad Meltzer, John Cassaday, Laura Martin, Louise Simonson, Jerry Ordway, Scott Snyder and Tim Sale.
