Behind The Scenes Creating Kubo’s Opening Titles
Turning Japanese
♦Thanks to our friends over at Wired.co.uk, here’s a behind the scenes look at how Laika created the title sequence for Kubo And The Two Strings, which is out at the cinema in the UK this week…
Directed by Travis Knight with the voice talent of Matthew McConaughey, Charlize Theron and Rooney Mara, produced by the same people who made Coraline, The Corpse Bride and The Boxtrolls.
Kubo lives a quiet, normal life in a small shoreside village until a spirit from the past turns his life upside down by re-igniting an age-old vendetta. This causes all sorts of havoc as gods and monsters chase Kubo who, in order to survive, must locate a magical suit of armour once worn by his late father, a legendary Samurai warrior.
